REIKI ATTUNEMENTS
So, you want to be a reiki practitioner? Good news! You came to the right place. Reiki attunements are an empowering and life changing experience. During an attunement, reiki masters give students the lifelong ability to channel universal life energy. This process heightens our energetic awareness and allows for easy reiki access. Think of your body as an instrument and negative experiences or blocks as minor discords. An attunement, you guessed it, tunes our bodies to a more harmonic frequency. It elevates our individual vibrations to a higher level and allows us to purge any low vibrations from our bodies and energetic aura. The goal of an attunement is to let the healing energy in and remove what longer serves you. If you're interested, it is also a gift you can share with others!
I currently offer private attunements. Working at an individual level can be very beneficial as it provides a more intimate setting for questions, advice, etc. Attunements cannot be self administered, so you'll need a reiki master in order to access reiki. Here's a bonus: once attuned, you won't lose the ability to channel, even if you don't use it for years and years!
During a reiki attunement, we'll cover the following topics:
-
An overview of reiki
-
The story of Mikao Usui, how he first discovered reiki, and his teachings
-
Hawayo Takata and the westernization of reiki practices
-
The five reiki symbols
-
The three levels of attunement
-
The responsibility and ethics of being a reiki practitioner
What are the three levels of attunement? How do I know which one to sign up for? Good questions! Below is a quick guide to what each level entails:
Level I: Shoden (Self-Healing)
Shoden is the beginner level of reiki. It is all about self healing and gives you access to reiki for self use. During this, you'll learn about the five different reiki symbols and become attuned to the first two. We'll come back to those in a moment!
Level II: Okuden (Healing Others)
Once you complete Shoden, you can move to Level II. Okuden is about sharing reiki with those around you, such as friends or family. During this, you'll become attuned to the distance reiki symbol and become a certified reiki practitioner. You'll further develop your knowledge from Shoden, learn how to preform distance reiki, and detect blockages in others.
Level III: Shinpiden (The Master Level)
In order to become a reiki master, you must first complete Shoden and Okuden. You will become attuned to the last two reiki symbols and learn how to give attunements. (The student becomes the teacher!) We will cover the importance of consent, ethics, giving attunements, and the responsibility of teaching reiki.
